Winning project of the student exhibition for the 2008 Biennale of Shanghai, Synaesthesia was an identity project aiming at giving voice to the forgotten neighborough of Suzou River, Shanghai.
As the government was next to demolish the old neighborough (in favour of a fancier dwellings set up) 50 design and architecture students were called to get the voice of Suzou River to be heard.
The outcome was divided in Past, Present and Future Identity and a final exhibition was showing a visual and audio journey through the neighborough identity.
